Indigenous People's Month

Image
The Philippines celebrates National Indigenous Peoples (IP) Month every year. This celebration is important because it honors the indigenous communities in our country. Indigenous peoples have their own languages, traditions, and customs that make the Philippines more colorful and diverse.  Indigenous peoples take care of our forests and mountains. They know how to live with nature in a good way. Their ancestors taught them how to farm without destroying the land and how to protect trees and animals. These traditional ways are very useful today because our environment needs protection. We can learn many things from indigenous communities about taking care of our planet. Indigenous peoples face many problems today. Some are poor and don't have good schools or hospitals in their areas. Some people don't treat them fairly. Many young indigenous people are losing their traditional languages and customs. This celebration month helps us think about these problems. It reminds us that ...

3rd Quarter Reflection

Image
This third quarter, one thing that I discovered in myself is how to properly manage my sleeping schedule, resulting in better focus and productivity. And how will I use it for the next available days of my life. Since this quarter is aligned with holidays, most of the time I tend to sleep late at night and early in the morning. My circadian rhythm has changed, as a result, I woke up at lunchtimes, mentally retarded and unable to help with the chores inside n outside the house.  Gladly, I was able to address these challenges of mine by entertaining my brain to sleep as early as possible, like setting a time for my screentime, 6 hours minimum, and proceeding to sleep before 10 p.m hits.   Moving on, I will continue to follow my good sleeping habit to eschew any further problems associated to my welfare and well-being.

Jose Rizal's Greatest gift to Filipinos

Image
Jose Rizal did a lot of things for the people of the Philippines.  Jose Rizal wrote two famous books called Noli Me Tangere and  El Filibusterismo. These books showed people what was really going on. Jose Rizals books were important because before he wrote them many Filipinos just accepted their lives as the way things were. They did not know any better because they did not have any way to understand what was happening to them. Jose Rizal and his novels really opened the eyes of the Filipinos to the problems they faced.  When people read Jose Rizals novels they began to think about themselves and their country. They started to believe that Filipinos deserved treatment. They also started to believe that change was possible. Jose Rizals books spread these ideas throughout the Philippines. Jose Rizals books helped to create a sense of identity among people who had previously seen themselves only as subjects of Spain. Rizal did a lot of things because he believed in ed...

Christmas Celebration

Image
Whenever I hear the sound of the kids caroling in front of our house, I already knew that Christmas is just around, and that season is the time that we share our love, blessings, and joy to the people that is close to us: Our family.  During  the Christmas break my Aunties and Uncles came in our place to celebrate the birth of Papa Jesus/Christmas. On December 23, my family set an outing to the Pinsal falls at Santa Maria Ilocos Sur . When we arrived at the venue, the first thing that I did was to take a photo of the squirting falls, after that I hop on the floating cottage that we rented, it costs around a thousand pesos. While our cottage is getting closer to the falls, I can't fight my hunger anymore, so I had my lunch. After having my lunch I immediately dive on the pool, the water was extremely cold at that time, sumampa na ako, and went to the top of the falls to take a picture. December 24, Bisperas ng Pasko. At 12 noon me and my friends hang out somewhere tranquil, w...
